2.5.2.6. A control system of hashing of air on an admission (VTCS)

The VTCS system puts in action the gate in an inlet collector for increase in speed of a stream of air on an admission and creations of turbulences in the combustion chamber for improvement of the dispersion entered into the fuel cylinder. At the same time the number of emissions of CH and CO with the fulfilled gases at small loadings decreases.
The PCM block turns on the electromagnetic VTCS valve which closes the gate in an inlet collector if the following conditions are satisfied:
– frequency of rotation of the engine – is lower than 3750 min.-1;
– the angle of opening of a butterfly valve – is lower than 1500 min.-1 – the butterfly valve is closed, between 2000 min.-1 and 3000 min.-1 – 26–29%, higher than 2500 min.-1 – the butterfly valve is completely open;
– temperature of cooling liquid is below 63 °C.
The PCM block switches off the electromagnetic VTCS valve for preservation of starting qualities and stability at start of the engine and during 0,2 from later launch of the engine.
