2.6.2. Check of thermal gaps in the mechanism of the drive of valves

Adjustment of thermal gaps in the mechanism of the drive of valves

Uncover the rechargeable battery.
Disconnect a negative wire from the rechargeable battery.
Remove the lower cover and a mudguard (right).
Remove knot of the air filter.
Remove ignition coils.
Disconnect a ventilation hose.
Uncover a head of the block of cylinders.
Measure a valvate gap.
Turn a bent shaft clockwise so that the piston No. 1 was in compression step VMT.

Fig. 2.236. Order of measurement of valvate gaps

Measure a valvate gap in a point And (fig. 2.236).
If the gap does not meet standard, replace a pusher of the valve and adjust a valvate gap on average value.
Standard valvate gap (on the cold engine): 0,27–0,33 mm.

NOTE
Write down the measured values to choose the corresponding pushers of the valve for replacement.

Turn a bent shaft on 360 ° clockwise so that the piston No. 4 was in compression step VMT.
Measure a valvate gap in B point (see fig. 2.236).
If does not meet standard, replace a pusher of the valve and adjust a valvate gap on average value.
Standard valvate gap (on the cold engine): 0,27–0,33 mm.
Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
Connect a ventilation hose.
Install ignition coils.
Establish knot of the air filter.
Establish the lower cover and a mudguard (right).
