Check steering draft for lack of deformation and damages. Replace it if necessary.

Check a gap in the spherical hinge. Replace steering draft if necessary.

Shake steering draft five times.

Measure the moment of resistance to swing, using a dynamometer (fig. 5.29).

Moment of resistance to swing: 0,1–4,0 N · m.

Indications of a dynamometer: 0,6–24,5 N.

If the result of measurement differs from specified, replace draft.
