2.2.15.4. Measurement of internal diameter of the directing valve plug

Measure the internal diameter of each guide of the plug of the valve in the X and Y directions in three points (A, B, and C), as shown in the figure 2.141.
If diameter does not meet standard, replace the directing valve plug.
Standard internal diameter:
- Admission: 5,509–5,539 mm;
- Release: 5,509–5,539 mm.

Calculate a gap between a core and a guide of the valve, having subtracted value of outer diameter of a rod of the valve from value of internal diameter of the corresponding guide of the plug of the valve (fig. 2.142).
If the result does not meet standard, replace the valve and/or the directing valve plug.
- Normal gap:
- Admission: 0,024–0,069 mm;
- Release: 0,029–0,074 mm.
- Maximum gap: 0,10 mm.
